Description: CoverSTAR breaks the barrier between genre and generations—where new talents give voice to vintage vibes. With competitors performing songs from at least 25 years ago, we’re letting the new voices uncover and recraft the sounds of Trinidad and Tobago!

CoverSTAR challenges today’s singers to excavate our rich musical heritage and breathe contemporary life into the treasures of our rich recording legacy. The series combines expert mentors, T&T’s untapped vault of oldies, and fresh challenges every episode to deliver a homegrown platform that bridges generational gaps in harmonious leaps and bounds.

Application Format: Online Submission

Deadline: Thursday 20th November, 2025| 11:59 PM

Preparation: Interested persons are asked to submit a 90-Second Audition video, singing acapella (without backing track) any song, of any genre dating backwards of 25 Years.

Audition /Recording Guidelines

Slating and Recording:

  • Slating: Before giving your performance, please clearly state:

    My name is [Full Name], I’m from [Residential Area], and I’m auditioning for the CoverStar 2026 Talent.
  • Lighting and Audio: Having a professional video camera /recording setup is not a requirement. However, please ensure that your face is well lit so that we can clearly see you, and that your audio is clear.

Uploading and Sharing:

Once your recording is complete:

  • Upload your video file to a secure online storage platform (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, YouTube, Vimeo etc.)
  • Ensure that your sharing link is accessible — the file must be viewable without requiring the recipient to request access. (check your privacy settings)
  • You will paste this link in your audition application form

When submitting your application, please include ONE (1) CLOSE UP and ONE (1) FULL-LENGTH photo of yourself (No hats, no sunglasses, no filters or AI augmentations. We want to see YOU. Your face must be clearly visible).

Key Dates:

Shooting will continue over a three-week period, leading up to the final round.

The 2026 CoverSTAR will receive a comprehensive artist development package from Advance Dynamics Ltd., including:

  1. A professionally produced music video valued at TT$40,000, with promotional edits.
  2. TT$10,000 stipend to the 2026 CoverSTAR.
  3. Guaranteed performance and broadcast opportunities on ADL or partner platforms, with rehearsal support and edited performance content.
  4. Mentorship and professional guidance covering artistry, career strategy, stagecraft, production workflow, and short-term goal planning.
  5. Coordinated public relations assistance including media training, press release distribution, Electronic Press Kit (EPK) refresh, and social-ready promotional assets.

Additional in-kind benefits include:
