Facilitator: Shelby Outar

Shelby Outar is a multifaceted artist and cultural ambassador whose creative spirit weaves through many corners of the industry. Her love affair with makeup began at seventeen, when she boldly taught herself the basics just to take the stage without relying on others. What started as a necessity quickly became a passion—fueling her fascination with theatrical beauty and self-expression throughout her undergraduate years.

When the world slowed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Outar’s artistry accelerated. She dove headfirst into experimentation with SFX, editorial, and camera-ready looks, sharing her evolving craft on Instagram during lockdown. That exploration laid the foundation for her professional path.

Today, after three years of professional practice, Outar is the creative force behind OutarNBad Artistries (ONB Artistries). From Carnival to stage, from photoshoots to productions, she brings imagination to life—crafting beauty, character, and story through the transformative power of makeup.

Facilitator: Seychelle Ross

Seychelle Ross’s life has always been theatre. She’s been performing since the age of six and has never stopped. She received a BA in Theatre Arts with a Minor in Festival Studies from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine (Hons) and holds the titles of Miss UWIverse 2018 and Miss La Reine Rive 2019, respectively.

Ross then developed her passion for SFX Makeup artistry, which eventually led to building a niche business dedicated to creating art, especially in the areas of traditional and folkloric characters. Ross is also a trained Jab Molassie fire breather with Les Reines Djabbes, an organization she co-founded. Dubbed the “Dragon”, she serves as a performer and does the makeup for the organization’s events. She lives by the quote, “when life give you lemons, make strawberry lemonade!
