Description: This comprehensive three (3) day workshop (delivered across 3 weeks) is designed for aspiring and emerging directors who want to master the foundational skills of bringing a script to life. Participants will explore the director’s role in the theatrical process, engage in detailed script analysis, and develop a unique directorial concept.
Through practical sessions, you’ll gain hands-on experience with movement and stage blocking, effective collaboration with actors, and the integration of technical elements such as lighting, sound, and design. Group work and creative exercises will provide a holistic understanding of the director’s vision and leadership in the rehearsal room and beyond.

Facilitator: Arnetia Thomas
Arnetia Thomas is a full time creative. She is an actress, dancer, traditional mas performer, fire breather, dance/drama tutor, director and writer and a Theatre Arts teacher at Belmont Secondary school. She has been a part of the arts since 2014 and has loved every minute of it. Her passion for it grew even more when she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts at the University of the West Indies. She finds freedom in being able to create, learn and teach, especially to children of all ages, it’s what keeps her motivated, disciplined and wanting to learn and do more.
