Title: But He’s My Brother

Genre: Drama

Synopsis: Set in Trinidad and Tobago in 2015, But He’s My Brother is a powerful drama exploring the fragile bond between two Muslim brothers, Amir and Idris. Raised in a close-knit, but struggling family, the brothers find their relationship increasingly strained as they navigate the pressures of identity, faith, and family.

Character Breakdown:

MIR: Male, mid – late 20s, Afro-Trinbagonian. Responsible, trying to balance his dreams of a better future for him and his family. Older brother to IDRIS.

IDRIS: Male, early – mid 20s, Afro-Trinbagonian. Battling feelings of abandonment and low self worth. He yearns to belong and to be accepted.

GRAN: Female, late 50s – 60s, Afro- Trinbagonian. Nurturing and protective. She has raised AMIR and IDRIS since they were boys.

MALIK: Male, late 20s – 30s, Afro-Trinbagonian. A wheeler and dealer. Would make a good salesman. You never really know his true intentions.
