Character Breakdown:
FEMALE ROLES
EDEN [PROTAGONIST]: Female, early 20s. Studious, hard-working and a little uptight. She strives for perfection in everything, from her grades to the way she dresses. Endlessly curious and passionate about her field of study, she is very goal-oriented and says she doesn’t have time for other people, but in truth is just bad at socializing with others. The more time she spends time with Kayleigh and her friends caused her to let her walls down, and allows her to become more vulnerable.
KAYLEIGH: Female, early 20s. Beautiful, confident, funny and outgoing. Everything you want to be. A bit of mess around the edges, but so damn charismatic. Always has a story about her latest romantic endeavour. While she seems shallow, she is actually a kind person who will always go above and beyond for her friends, and own up to her mistakes. Approaching Eden for help is fixing a mistake she made years ago.
AVERY: Female, early 20s. Gossipy, bossy and constantly in the shadow of Kayleigh. She both admires and is jealous of her “best” friend. She tries to emulate her lifestyle, wishing to be just like her but always falls short of it. Can often be rude to people, even when she doesn’t mean to be. She puts up an act of self-assurance, like she has it all together, but one big push would cause her to crack.
SKAI: Female, early 20s. Sarcastic, blunt and unafraid to tell it how she sees it. Incredibly opinionated with a strong sense of self. She thinks she’s always right, which can make her frustrating to deal with sometimes. She really loves her friends, but has a hard time expressing it; she keeps her walls up. The sudden death in the group hits her the hardest and causes her reevaluate herself.
MALE ROLES
ADAM: Male, early 20s. Confident, sarcastic, condescending. Has an enormous ego but his nonchalant “cool guy” attitude isn’t taken seriously by the girls. His charming attitude fools people who don’t really know him, but it also covers his deep rooted misogyny, only pursuing women he finds attractive for sex or he deems as “pure”. His “friendship” with the girls is a long game to him, but that changes when Kayleigh introduces them to Eden.
ISAIAH: Male, early 20s. Reserved, nerdy and a bit of a wallflower, Isaiah is the outsider of the group, more of Adam’s friend than the others. He’s picked up on his attitudes towards women, and though obviously disagreeing with them, he never made any effort to correct Adam or stop being friends, content with how things were. But as he finds himself getting to know the girls more, he starts to question his choices.
