For: Children (4 – 12 y/o)

Description: The Caribbean School of Dancing July Arts Camp allows campers to explore a variety of dance styles while uncovering their talents in drama, music and art. This year’s camp theme is “Loving Local” where campers will gain an appreciation local arts and culture and a sense of national pride!

Parents will be treated to a closing performance on the final day of camp where the campers’ artworks will also be on display.

Duration: 8th  –  19th July 2024

Dates | Times: Mondays to Fridays | 9:00AM to 2:00PM

Drop-off available from 7:30am and pick-up until 3:00pm

Camp Director: Bridgette Wilson

Bridgette Wilson has served as the principal of Caribbean School of Dancing since 2017. Her passion for teaching and her advocacy for children pair well with the role as she continues to create avenues for children to explore their creativity within a safe and nurturing space.

Wilson holds a BFA Hons from York University and a MA Choreography from Trinity Laban, UK. She is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. Bridgette Wilson has been a teacher for 15 years and served as the Rehearsal Director for Metamorphosis Dance Company for the same amount of time.

She choreographs the annual presentations for reigning Band of The Year, The Lost Tribe and was the lead choreographer on the band’s film LAVWAY that was produced during the Covid-19 pandemic. Wilson believes that all forms of art provide mental health benefits for all and dance is able to provide this along with its physical benefits.

Cost: $1,000 TTD (two weeks) | $600 TTD (one week)

Additional information: Campers may also participate in a pottery workshop for an additional cost of $150 TTD

Office is open Monday-Wednesday 10:00am-5:00pm and Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm.
