Description: The DNA ACADEMY is the natural evolution of its parent company DNA Productions. Through their 12 Session ‘Evolution of Art’ Program, DNA is focused on providing training and professional development to young creatives for the stage and/or screen, and fostering opportunities for them to put what they have learned into action.

Facilitator: Syntyche Bishop
Syntyche Bishop is a multi-hyphenate artiste, venturing into many areas of the performing and technical arts. She is known as an actress, director, singer, voice and performance coach. She also dances, stage manages, models and does creative direction.
Syntyche is a Resident player with the National Theatre Arts Company of Trinidad and Tobago playing notable characters such as, Queenie from Two Choices, Minee Woopsa from Man Better Man, Sister Margaret from Amen Corner and, Rosa from Moon on a Rainbow Shawl. With the NTAC she has represented Trinidad and Tobago at Carifesta XIII in Barbados, and Carifesta XIV hosted by Trinidad and Tobago. In early 2022 she was part of the National contingent representing Trinidad and Tobago at the Dubai Expo 2020.
A member of the Suite Chorale for many years, Syntyche has done two Belizean tours and one English tour with the choir, and entered numerous Best Village and Music Festival competitions winning many awards. She also worked with the Carnival cruise lines and travelled the world as a vocalist aboard the Carnival Dream. She was invited by the Actors Chapel on Broadway in New York to perform for black history month on two occasions, and has worked as an assistant to the coordinator of the prestigious Bronze Lens film festival in Atlanta Georgia, with keynote speakers such Garcelle Beauvais and Tina Lifford.
In 2021 she directed the Docu-Performance TALAWA, which showcased the life and journey of Lil Bitts. At present, she is the director of Sunday Blues, a series she started to showcase her singing and directing capabilities.
Syntyche is the voice and performance coach at the Bishop’s School of Performing Arts, and has been a director for Best Village and a judge for Sanfest.
