Theatre Audition | Simeon Moodoo’s “The Inspector” [Closed]

Title: The Inspector

Synopsis: “The Inspector” is a tragedy which portrays the demise of an Inspector, who tries to uphold justice within the confines of a corrupt society. The play is based on true stories, it uses the trial of those accused of Vindra Naipaul-Coolman’s murder and the infamous July 2015 Prison Break in Trinidad, where Allan ‘Scanny’ Martin, Hassan Atwell and Christopher ‘Monster’ Selby escaped from the prison as it’s context.

The script was originally prepared to be performed by Naparima College for Trinidad and Tobago’s Secondary Schools’ Drama Festival 2016, and has since gone on to win multiple awards both locally and regionally.

CASTING NOTE: M/F Actors, Singers and Dancers are being sought for ensemble roles in DNA Productions’ presentation of Simeon Moodoo’s “The Inspector”. While the ensemble won’t have many scenes, or lines to learn, they are a vital part to the story telling. Some singing and choreographed movement may be involved. Previous experience may be an asset, it is not necessary.

Compensation: $300 TTD – $500 TTD (one time payment)
