Host: UWI St. Augustine: Film Programme
Seeking: M/F Actors, 10 – 50 y/o (See Character Breakdown)
For: UWI Film Camp’s Casting Director Seminar & Short Film Auditions
Description: This year, the UWI Film Program is hosting a camp for young filmmakers ages 14 – 17 y/o. This camp includes seminars with industry professionals, and will culminate in the students producing their own short film by the end of the camp. On Friday 14th July, UWI Film Camp will host a Casting Director Seminar in the morning session, facilitated by Triston Wallace of the T&T Performing Arts Network, who will guide the students on best practices in casting their films. In the afternoon session, students will hold auditions for their short films which will go into production on July 20th and 21st.
This is an invaluable opportunity for actors to learn more about what goes into the casting process, meet and network with other actors, filmmakers and educators, and support the development of the next generation of filmmakers in Trinidad and Tobago.
