Job Summary:

The #IAM Movement is an initiative that promotes body positivity and self confidence through dance and movement. This Movement is currently exclusive to females and as such, we are seeking female choreographers to develop and teach choreography to non-dancers, that is focused on building self confidence.

Key Duties:

  • Create choreography for adult women who may have no dance experience, in the areas of Pole and/or Aerial Arts, Hip Hop, Belly Dancing and Latin Dancing. Choreography should focus on self-expression rather on core tenets of dance.
  • Teach 1 – 2 hour dance sessions (Virtual or In-studio), with the understanding that the female participants have no dance experience.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be professional trained in one or more of the following areas of dance: Pole and/or Aerial Arts, Hip Hop, Belly Dancing and Latin Dancing.
  • Have the ability to conduct virtual dance classes;
  • Be able to travel to studio locations within Trinidad and Tobago if/when necessary;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Have patience, and the ability to inspire and encourage students;
  • Be able to show empathy and understanding when engaging with participants during sessions.

Payment: $200 TTD – $250 TTD per session

Additional Details: Total payments will be made monthly.
