Description: In this 12-week online course, Dr. Richard Tang Yuk will be working with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) syllabus, and offer professional tutoring for ABRSM Grades 5 through 8.

Classes will begin the week of August 9th, 2021 and run for 12 weeks. One class per week.

The schedule is designed so that the course ends just as the ABRSM holds their exams in November 2021, for those who wish to take the exam and receive certification.

Facilitator: Dr. Richard Tang Yuk D.M., M.M., B.M., L.R.S.M

Holds a doctoral degree in Music and has taught music at the University level in the United States for over 25 years. He has served on the Music faculties at Princeton University, Indiana University School of Music, Westminster Conservatory, and the College of New Jersey.

He has served multiple times as an adjudicator for the TT Music Festival and for the National Panorama Competition in Trinidad. He holds a Licentiate Diploma from the Royal Schools of Music in Piano (UK). He was the Executive & Artistic Director of The Princeton Festival, a multi-genre performing arts festival in Princeton, NJ, which presents professional performances of Opera, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Dance, Chamber Music, Orchestral and Choral concerts, World-music, Recitals, a Piano Competition, as well as a series of lectures and educational outreach programs surrounding the performances.

His performances of opera and the choral-orchestral literature have received critical acclaim in the New York Times and Opera News. Dr. Tang Yuk is of Chinese descent and is from the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.
