Host: Filmmakers Collaborative of Trinidad and Tobago (FILMCO)
Presents: Makeup for Film
Discipline: Filmmaking
Skill Level: Beginner
Description: Makeup in film. Done well, it is one of the most important filmmaking elements that transports an audience into your story. It is an art done by passionate and creative artists who see the human face and body as a beautiful canvas, and who dedicate themselves wholly to the telling of the narrative.
FILMCO is excited to present a two-day, two-session workshop on makeup for film. Led by talented professional makeup artist and hair stylist Shannon Cockburn, this Weeknight Workshop is directed at makeup artists and directors wanting to learn more about the craft.
Shannon will take participants through the different types of makeup techniques for film which will include special effects makeup: skin prep & set, dirt work, blood and bruise work, alcohol palettes and creating fx appliances among other elements. This part of the workshop will include a live demonstration. Shannon will then cover several other topics, encouraging participants to ask questions as needed.
