Job Title: Marketing and Sales Representative
Employment Status: On Commission
Job Summary:
The incumbent will be required to support the work of the Executive Committee of NDATT and the Arts Administrator in developing and executing marketing strategies, to properly promote the services provided by NDATT in the furtherance of its mandate to promote, protect and preserve the national dramatic arts sector, while also ensuring the financial sustainability of said services.
The work involves implementing marketing plans, tracking marketing and sales data, meeting sales quotas and identifying areas of improvement and supervising members of the Marketing and Sales team.
Key Duties:
The Marketing and Sales Representative’s main duties will be to:
1. Assist in the development of marketing strategies. This includes:
- Contributing information, ideas and research that would help to identify the products, projects or services offered by NDATT that would be most viable to make NDATT more financially sustainable;
- Design and implementation of marketing plans for each product, project or service being offered. Including:
- Analyzing trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies;
- Monitoring of radio/television/social media and online broadcasts, preparation of appropriate sales strategies;
- Determining any other issues that would impact on the sales and marketing performance.
- Developing sales strategies for the products, projects or services offered by NDATT including special promotions or sponsored events;
2. Identify possible sponsors or other financial means of effecting the products, projects or services offered by NDATT, and taking the requisite steps with the approval of the Executive to pursue those options. Including:
- Developing a list of organizations that might be willing to contribute financially to the work of NDATT;
- Preparing sponsorship letters and other supporting documents highlighting the products, projects or services offered by NDATT to encourage financial support/ sponsorship;
- Disseminating information on the functions, policies, objectives, activities and achievements of NDATT geared towards encouraging sponsorship.
3. Encourage positive and effective stakeholder engagement through coordinating of activities related to media relations and publicity of activities of NDATT (e.g. workshops, productions etc.).
4. Carry out the administrative duties related to the day to day running of the Marketing and Sales Team and maintenance of the records, which include invoices, receipts, notable publications, newspaper clippings, as well as cataloguing of pictures, video/audio tapes etc.
5. Performs related work as may be required.
Minimum Experience and Training:
The ideal candidate should have any of the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, advertising or a related field.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, advertising or a related field at time of application.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in one of the above areas
- Candidates of any nationality, but who currently reside in Trinidad and Tobago are welcomed to apply.
Compensation: The Service Provider shall be paid on a commission basis per project. Percentage and details to be discussed during the interview process with successful applicants.
