Host: trinidad+tobago film festival

Presents: Build Your Film’s Website With The Magic of WordPress

Discipline: Film Production | Marketing

Skill Level: Beginner

Description: Websites have become an essential tool in a film’s promotional kit: they bring visibility and validity to a project; allow users to meet your cast and crew, to learn about your project’s story and to share press reviews; and so much more. But websites can cost a fortune to produce.

In this four-hour workshop, web developer Shaun Rambaran will give a wide-ranging lesson in both preparing and running your own website using WordPress. Initially designed as a blogging platform, WordPress has evolved into a fully capable Content Management System (CMS). Backed by the power of the Open Source community pushing its ongoing development, the software has grown (and continues to grow) ever faster and more user-friendly for people at all levels of technical experience.

Join Rambaran as he discusses the multiple elements that go into successfully building a website using the WordPress platform, for your film or TV show.

Time: 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
