Synopsis: Judah returns to Trinidad and Tobago to reconnect with his friend Ellie, who he learns has gone missing. Her parents received a text from her phone saying that she is “ok” and just needs some “time away”. The police have classified the case as a runaway youth, but when Judah experiences vivid mental images upon entering her home, he definitely knew something was wrong.

Job Summary:

The first assistant director is responsible to the director, and is chiefly concerned with facilitating a smooth workflow on set, coordinating all production activity, and supervising the cast and crew.

Key Duties:

The 1st AD’s main duties will be to:

  • Assist the director in tracking daily progress against the filming production schedule
  • Coordinate logistics, prepare daily call sheets, supervising cast and crew, and maintaining order on the set.
  • Ensure filming is completed on time each day;
  • Monitor activities for Health & Safety of cast and crew;
  • Ensuring that crew maintains social distancing, uses sanitizing supplies provided and observes public health ordinances;

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong administration and organization skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Students of film and/or theater are welcomed;
  • Experience on a student production, professional film set or theater production would be an asset.
