Job Title: Tap Dance Teacher

Employment Status: Part-time

Job Summary:

The Tap Dance Teacher joins the staff of ACES Dance Academy, an ISTD accredited school which offers training  in diverse dance styles, to students of varying age groups and experience levels.

Key Duties:

  • Lead two (2) Tap Class sessions on Tuesday afternoons at the Academy’s Woodbrook session. Each session will be one (1) hour long;
  • Teach the fundamentals of Tap, and the components of the ISTD Tap Syllabus;
  • Prepare students for ISTD Tap examinations;
  • Choreograph Tap routines and prepare students for the Academy’s annual recital/concert.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have a good knowledge of, and be able to demonstrate various techniques in Tap;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Have patience, and the ability to encourage and motivate students.

Payment: $125 – $500 per class

Additional Details: Payment is made per student. The more students being taught per class, the higher the pay scale.
