Job Title: Hip Hop Dance Teacher

Employment Status: Part-time

Job Summary:

The Hip Hop Dance Teacher joins the staff of ACES Dance Academy, an ISTD accredited school which offers training  in diverse dance styles, to students of varying age groups and experience levels.

Key Duties:

  • Lead two (2) one hour (1hr) Hip Hop sessions on Saturday  mornings at the Academy’s Woodbrook studio;
  • Teach the fundamentals of various Hip Hop styles and construct them into original pieces of choreography;
  • Prepare students for annual dance recital/concert.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A good knowledge of, and be able to demonstrate various Hip Hop styles including popping, locking, old school and contemporary hip hop styles;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Patience, and the ability to encourage and motivate students;
  • At least three (3) years experience in teaching Hip Hop.

Salary: $125 – $500 per session

Payment Details: Payment is made per student. The more students being taught per class, the higher the earning potential.
