Title: Killing Columbus
Genre: Drama/Thriller
Synopsis: A struggling young artist, puts his artistic integrity aside when he is offered a high paying gig to paint a portrait of Christopher Columbus. When the portrait comes to life and runs for Prime Minister, he must try to prevent history from repeating itself.
Character Breakown
Donny: Male, mid 20’s – early 30’s. Any ethnicity. A struggling artist; idealistic and egalitarian. Forced to make a decision that will reward him financially, but go against his left leaning political ideology.
Anya: Female, Mid 20’s- early 30’s. Any ethnicity. A Successful Caribbean artist who was school friends with Donny; she is everything he ever wanted to be. Charismatic, well known, yet shrouded in mystery. Provides Donny with the opportunity that eventually destroys his life, the only question is, did she do it on purpose?
Christopher Columbus: Male, in his 30’s y/o, Any ethnicity. The same Christopher Columbus form your history books, and Donny’s worst nightmare come to life. Set to reconquer the land he now inhabits and its people.
