Yusha-Marie SorzanoOriginally from Trinidad, Ms. Sorzano received her primary instruction from New World School of the Arts, Miami Conservatory, and The Dance Theater of Harlem. She attended the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program and in her junior year was invited to join Ailey II.

Ms. Sorzano has been a member of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Morphoses, TU Dance, and BODYTRAFFIC.- additionally, she has performed as a guest artist with Benjamin Millipied’s LA Dance Project.

Ms. Sorzano has performed in principal roles with the Ailey company and in a wide variety of concert works, including noted choreographers, Ulysses Dove, Dianne McIntyre, Hofesh Schechter, Kyle Abraham, and Ron K Brown. As well as with recording artist Wynton Marsalis, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Destiny’s Child, and Rihanna. She has been a guest artist on “Dancing with the Stars”, a cast member of Chicago acclaimed Goodman Theater’s “Crowns, and starred as the principal dancer in the independent film “You, Me and The Circus.” Ms. Sorzano has most recently joined New York-based company, Camille A. Brown & Dancers.

When not performing she enjoys teaching both nationally and internationally.


Workshop Cost: 1 Class- TT$100 (US$15) | 2 Classes TT$180 (US$25)
