Jamie Philbert: Producer/ Choreographer

Trinidadian born, Jamie Philbert is a choreographer, educator, dancer/performer, poet, and designer. Jamie is a graduate of La Guardia High School in New York and a scholarship student of the Charles Moore Dance Theater, American Dance Festival, and Peridance School. As a choreographer Jamie has presented her work at Lincoln Center Outdoors, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Riverside Church Theater, Mulberry St Theater, Howard University, Hollins University and many more. Her work ranges from social to political to satirical comedy. Her goal is to provide a space of healing through the mediums of dance, vocalization and sound/music. This November she will present work in South Africa at the University of Witwatersrand. Jamie is excited to be home in Trinidad and begin a new chapter of her artistic work. Her work is dedicated to the memory of her parents Dennis and Veronica Philbert and all of the ancestors who made space for her to be possible.
