Synopsis:

“Miracle” is a new original play about the harrowing ordeal one woman faces when kidnapped by two young men. The play details how she survives during her capture from the kidnappers’ perspectives and explores the racial tensions between Indian and African Trinidadian peoples.

We will provide a stipend for travel expenses to any actors cast but this is a showcase performance so it will not be paid.

Character Breakdown:

– Rajin Samlalsingh: East Indian male 
– Joanna Samlalsingh: Middle aged East Indian Female
– Elvis and Joe: Two African males
– Cassandra: Mixed Race or African Female

We appreciate actors of all ages, especially those with flexible daytime schedules or who are unemployed.

The audition will take the form of a reading. Scripts will be provided.
